  3. The street repairs were approved last week in court. The new trees replaced the Ash trees that we removed last year. The pool is a work in progress but coming along nicely. Please keep in mind there is a process to get things done.

    1. Do we know the cost of the pool repairs and the street repairs? I am concerned that our assessments are going to go up, with all this work being done. Which, I understand needed to be, but some other residents may not. Thank you for all the hard work to get Cedar Run back in a better state than it has been in many years!

    2. All of the repairs are necessary and approved by the court. Keep in mind these are repairs only. Eventually the entire road network will require replacement. There is no reason for assessments to go up.

    1. Pool repairs were mentioned on this blog and have been in numerous reports since last summer. There is an old saying the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago or today.

    2. Yes,they have been, but it looks like we are getting a totally new pool. What exactly is being done? Thank you

    3. There were leaks in the pool and some repairs dictated by the State of IL in their last inspection.

    1. You can call HHSG Homeowner service or when you call hit zero for the operator. We track all incoming calls so we know who called and the exact time. If you have an issue please contact HHSG via email so I can look into the matter. Also you can stop by the club house with any of your concerns.

In order to keep costs down we have not sent many letters or notices. I've attempted to use this blog as a means of communication with owners.

Please remember I report to the court and not to a board. Assessments should remain the same for the near future, however the new board can change that as they see fit.

  7. The pool looks great! But, I would like to know the cost of it being repaired and where our assessments are being used. I feel a newsletter would be nice, due to not every Homeowner reads this blog.

    1. You make an excellent point. A newsletter is very expensive and often is of little value. Email questions can be send to HSD@hhsg.net REC

    1. The pool area looks absolutely beautiful, Nice job, Thank You. This is how it should have looked a long time ago. Maybe this will inspire people to take better care of Cedar Run and pick up after themselves.

    2. I don't think our streets are going to be repaved......Just pothole's stuffed..... After the last rain I put a couple of goldfish in 2 of the potholes...Happy to report they are just fine everyone knows to go around the potholes by now.. Happy Holiday and you are correct the pool looks great!!!!!!!!

  9. Since when do we need a new pool pass? Went to the pool and was told my pass from last year is no good and that I need a new one. Love the communication! Wish us homeowners could be alerted at what is going on and what are assessments are being used for! We should have to go to the clubhouse to find out!!!!

  10. why? are tree's being cut down over on the ghetto side of cedar run property? ''HELLO'' we need Streets paved...

    1. There is no Ghetto side. That quite frankly is offensive. Dead trees need to be removed period.

    1. I thought they were just going to patch the potholes and punt the repaving decisions to the new board. If they actually repave something, I'd be pleasantly surprised. Spruce & Locust are absolutely ridiculous with potholes.

The previous patch work (commandeered by our buddy Sher) has just caused the pavement to blow out even worse with even bigger holes emanating from the previous repairs. IMO, doing this same type of patchwork again now is a just waste of money and does very little to delay the inevitable.

I hope we at least get those two streets (Spruce & Locust) done soon, as they are main roads for all the other courts.

  12. Yes, there is no communication! Where is the front Cedar Run sign, that was to be replaced in April and thought elections were to be in May? I do not have time to go to the clubhouse or call anyone to find out! I work all week from 9 to whenever I get home( I am on the road early in the morning). Is it too much asking for more communication from The Receiver?

    1. Can you not read? Some people work and can not call the office or stop by the clubhouse. Is it so difficult to send out a brief outdate to Homeowners? Yes, you want to save money, but us homeowners would like to know how our money is being used!

    2. Can I offer you a slice of cheese to go with your WHINE??

That said, I agree that we need more communication from the receiver and hopefully from the new board once seated. If it wasn't for the receiver's comments being posted on this blog, I would know almost nothing. But how many of the 408 owners are subscribed to this blog?

But apparently YOU have time to type up your grievances and complain on this blog that you can't get any answers, but you don't have the time to compose an email to get your question addressed from HHSG staff?!?

I find that HHSG staff is a bit lax on returning phone calls or voicemails but pretty decent on emails. If your work schedule does not allow you to make phone calls during business hours, how about an email? If they ignore your email or blow off your questions, then you have something to complain about.

So give it a try before you post condescending, non-constructive comments like "can you not read?"

    3. I would love to send more information but there is not that much to report to justify the expense. I will look into the phone call issue. Our policy is a one business day call back policy. If someone calls and does not get a return call after leaving a voice mail please email hsd@hhsg.net asap. I want to know when that occurs. Please leave a voice mail. You can also press 0 when you call and get the operator. REC

  14. home owners before the sher /shaw take over the zink corperation had a parking system that worked it was free and everyone could park in the street until 12am -6am that was and should be now this receiver could of and should of put the rules back as before also he could of and should of put up a cedar run sign as we had before but instead put new trees and avoided patching pot holes remember he is no different than alma/zink or the sher/shaw group .

    1. Actually we are quite different and the parking system was not in my purview to change significantly based on the court order.

Stating something doesn't make it a fact. Facts are facts.
