New Years '14 Snow Storm

We've gotten several complaints about the snow removal service during this storm.  We do acknowledge that this storm is quite severe and long-lasting.  Only so much can be done to keep the roads and walkways clear.  However, this storm does also underscore the fact that our master board (under Sher's leadership) has chosen a snow removal company that is understaffed and inadequately equipped.

Prior to the Sher group's takeover, we did not have these issues.  Snow removal crews/equipment consisted of two Bobcats (as opposed to Sher's one), multiple plow trucks, crews of close to a dozen workers on foot with snow-blowers & shovels to clear driveways & walkways.  In a snowstorm like this, additional snow removal equipment would be dropped off if needed or if any equipment broke down. The crews would work in shifts, approximately every twelve hours, so workers were well-rested and ready to work efficiently.

Our snow removal today is done by a small, family-run business.  They do not have enough staff to remove our snow as promptly and efficiently as our previous snow removal service.  They also do not employ enough workers to operate multiple shifts in a long-lasting snowstorm like we are experiencing today.  They do not have additional equipment available to supplement their existing equipment for severe storms.  They do not have backup equipment in case of a breakdown (which we've seen in cases where their Bobcat broke down this season).

The next time Robert Sher boasts about all the money he is saving YOU, ask yourself how much of those savings that YOU actually see.

No pool for the first summer in Cedar Run history
Substandard landscaping and snow removal
No tree-care or trimming whatsoever - resulting in roofing/siding damage to buildings
Building insurance dropped and shifted to your phase payment, resulting in an increase
Utter confusion over where to send your assessment payment
.....And countless other examples of gross mismanagement.

ALL WHILE HE PAYS HIMSELF (and Papa Jack) WITH YOUR MONEY!!!

How are those savings working out for you???
